Panasonic LUMIX GH5M2 Mirrorless Camera Launched in India
Panasonic India has expanded its mirrorless lineup by announcing the LUMIX GH5M2 for the Indian market. The latest digital mirrorless camera offers 4K video recording and is aimed at content creators and other creative professionals. The camera is capable of clicking videos in C4K/4K at 60 fps with 10-bit 4:2:0 ratio and simultaneously outputting 4:2:2 10bit via HDMI during 4K 60p 4:2:0 10-bit internal recording.

The Panasonic LUMIX GH5M2 body has been launched only in India with a price tag of Rs 1,69,990. While the one with L-kit will be available for Rs 2,14,990. Panasonic digital camera can be purchased from Panasonic India branded stores.

The Panasonic LUMIX GH5M2 comes with a 20.3-megapixel digital Live MOS sensor with an AR (anti-reflection) coating. The image sensor is improved over the GH5 with the latest Venus Engine, which boasts high speed and high performance.
The mirrorless camera offers high-speed, high-precision AF and can identify specific subjects – people and animals, including canines, Felidae and birds. Especially for humans, the real-time detection technology separately recognizes the head in addition to the eye, face and body to ensure even more accurate focus.
The LUMIX GH5M2 is equipped with Body IS (Image Stabilizer) for steady handheld video recording with 0.6.5 EV slower shutter speeds. The device is capable of unlimited video recording in various settings and can record C4K/4K 60p 4:2:0 10-bit. Along with 4:2:2 10-bit output via HDMI during 4K 60p, 4:2:0 10-bit internal recording. Users can record video at the lens’ native viewing angle with a 1.0x crop factor in 4K 60p using the entire sensor area. The Panasonic LUMIX GH5M2 also comes with V-Log L pre-installed, which provides high dynamic range and vivid colors. This can render a very flat image while preserving all the color information in the image.
The Panasonic mirrorless offers two types of photographic-style Cinelike gamma presets that produce warm skin tones or subtle nuances of light and shadow without the color gradation of V-Log recording. While Cinelike D2 favors dynamic range and Cinelike V2 favors contrast. MonochromeS and L.ClassicNeo have also been added. All of these modes can be used to record Anamorphic video.
In addition, the LUMIX GH5M2 features a 3.0-inch 3:2 aspect ratio free-angle LCD with a high resolution of 1,840,000 dots and provides touch control. It offers higher brightness than the GH5 and excellent color reproduction to ensure high visibility outdoors. The REC Frame indicator identifies whether the camera is recording or not.
Most importantly, you can not only stream live via wire, but also wirelessly with the LUMIX Sync smartphone app with easy setup. A dedicated LUMIX Webcam Software is available for download for cable live streaming. With a future firmware update, it will support cable IP streaming (RTP/RTSP).
The camera includes a 2200 mAh battery that can be charged via AC or USB depending on the user’s preference. In addition, it includes a dual SD memory card slot compatible with high-speed high-capacity UHS-II for transfer recording, backup recording or allocation recording.
For wireless connectivity, the Panasonic LUMIX GH5M2 mirrorless offers Bluetooth and Wifi options. Users can easily share images remotely, view and take photos via the dedicated Panasonic LUMIX Sync app software for iOS / Android when the camera is connected to a smartphone or tablet.
