The Fujifilm X-body H2’s is identical to the X-H2S with 79 weather-sealed points that provide a high level of protection against moisture and dust. The mirrorless camera is designed to withstand the demands of normal professional use and continue to function normally even in temperatures down to -10°C. 1.62 million dot flip-up LCD monitor, top panel LCD screen, adjustable AF ON button press, and independent movie recording button all make it easy to operate.
There is one CFexpress Type B port and one SD UHS-II memory card port on the X-H2. Use CFexpress type B cards to maximize the professional video capabilities of the X-incredible H2.
The all-new back-illuminated 40.2MP “X-TransTM CMOS 5 HR” sensor is included in the Fujifilm X-H2 camera. A better image processing method allows the 40.2 MP high-resolution sensor to increase image resolution without reducing the S/N level, resulting in stunning image quality. Additionally, it has a better pixel structure to efficiently capture more light, making ISO 125 the standard sensitivity rather than an additional option.
The new sensor enables internal recording of 8K videos at 30P in 4:2:2 10-bit color. To be able to record 8K/30P video for about 160 minutes, the X-H2 has the same heat-dissipating design as the X-H2S. This makes 8K video a viable option. In addition, it enables 8K upsampling, which makes the most of the high-resolution sensor to record video with better image resolution.
The X-H2 supports three Apple ProRes codecs: ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422 LT and ProRes 422 Proxy when recording ProRes. This reduces the workload required to edit 8K footage and simplifies the process from shoot to finish. The X-H2’s 12-bit RAW video output can be recorded as Apple ProRes RAW or Blackmagic RAW at resolutions and frame rates up to 8K and 29.97fps when used in conjunction with suitable HDMI recording equipment from Atomos or Blackmagic Design. .
The Fujifilm X-H2 also supports F-Log2, which records with an improved dynamic range of 13+ feet. Post-production potential increases as this range is wider than the current F-Log.
Deep Learning-based Subject Detection AF is an X-Processor 5 feature that automatically detects and tracks a wider range of subjects, including human faces and eyes, as well as animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, airplanes and trains.
Users can focus quickly and accurately in situations where AF-S is often used, such as landscape and portrait photography. In addition, the X-H2 includes an improved AF prediction algorithm newly created for the X-H2S, which enables consistent focus even when using AF-C.
The X-Processor 5 and Sensor Control feature enable a 5-axis in-body image stabilization system that offers up to seven stops of compensation. In addition, the X-H2 can include a multi-pixel shift function thanks to the in-body image stabilization function, which can shift the image sensor with high precision.
The X-H2 has a high-magnification electronic viewfinder with 5.76 million dots and 0.8x magnification. It features a constant refresh rate of approximately 120 frames per second and a significant improvement in parallax and distortion control that typically occurs when the eye position is shifted when using the viewfinder for superior visibility.
